Your privacy at Marsa

Marsa Marketplace W.L.L (“Marsa”, “we”) connects you with local seafood vendors in Bahrain. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.
Information we collect
Phone number. We collect your mobile number to create your account, send a one-time verification code, let drivers reach you during delivery, and let Marsa coordinate order issues. Vendors only receive order-scoped contact access when it is strictly needed for an active order issue.
Location. With your permission we use your device location to set your delivery address and to show your driver’s live position while an order is on the way. You can turn this off in your device settings; delivery features that need it will then be limited.
Payment information. When you pay by Benefit Pay or card, your payment is processed by our licensed payment partner. We receive a confirmation and a masked reference (for example, the last four digits) for your receipt — we do not store full card numbers.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications, we use a device token to send order updates and catch-landed alerts. You can disable these any time in your device settings or in Account → Notifications.
How we use your information
We use the data above to take and deliver your orders, verify your identity, process payments and refunds, provide customer support, keep the marketplace safe, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data. We share only what a vendor or driver needs to fulfil your order, and what our payment partner needs to complete a transaction.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and order history while your account is active. Order and payment records are retained for as long as Bahraini tax and accounting law requires. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and stop using your data for the marketplace, keeping only records we are legally required to hold. You can request deletion in the app (Account → Delete account) or from our account deletion page.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, manage notification preferences, and delete your account from within the app. To request a copy of your data or ask a privacy question, contact our support team.
